| Title: My new starter
Hi everyone. My name is Anna. I started a new sourdough starter about 5 days.
The weather here in Melbourne was been warm and humid over the last week
giving ideal conditions for a starter to grow. I have been following the
instructions on this website. After two days I was starting to get good
bubbles and the starter doubled in size. So I threw out most of it and feed
it with 100g water/70g white flour/ 30g rye flour. After 12 hours it seems to
be nearly at it's peak and smelling nice and sour. I might try to back a loaf
with some in the couple of days but will keep feeding it for now.
